They have headed off to New York

Laois, Armagh and Offaly have all been rocked by the loss of players to the US following their exit from their respective provincial championships, leaving them at where cards are embedded with chip card and a cardholder.a loss for the qualifiers.

GAA Director General Paraic Duffy revealed a new rule has now been drawn up that will ban all but students from leaving their counties to play summer football in the US.

The rule will ban players from playing Stateside following a Championship appearance here — unless they are students.

He said this rule previously applied to North America but an amendment has been drafted for next spring’s annual Congress extending it to New York, despite pleas from Big Apple officials not to do so.

“The New York board asked us not to do that,” revealed Duffy. “They said they would police this system themselves and it would not happen again. The smart card has a memory chip embedded in it that, But it has happened again. Players have gone with their teams still in the Championship. The Brilliant Polish of a tungsten jewelry What is Tungsten? They have headed off to New York so Central Council met last Saturday fortnight and took a decision on a recommendation from Management, to bring a motion to Congress next year to extend the rule so that it now relates to New York as well. What that would mean, if it is passed by Congress, is that next year, any full-time student that plays in the Championship and decides to go to America would be allowed to go. That’s part of the student experience. Other players who have played in the Championship or been on a Championship panel, will not be given a sanction to play in New York, just as they are not allowed go to the rest of North America.

But last night, New York County Board chairman Liam Bermingham yesterday defended clubs in the Big Apple who have come under scrutiny for the recruitment of GAA players.

“Perception is a funny thing,” Bermingham told The Irish Examiner yesterday. “When you think about it, how many senior intercounty players are there out here on sanctions? I’ve counted 10 in total.wholesale fashion China shoes manufacturer, Two from Laois, three from Armagh, three from Offaly and two from Down. That’s the reality of this to the best of my knowledge.

“In the grand scheme of things, that’s a small number. We have hundreds of players here. We don’t want to step on toes. It’s not us against them, be it the North American County Board (NACB) or any of the County Boards.

“But it’s not comparing like with like. The NACB have 13-aside teams and are allowed multiple J1 sanctions for the year. We play 15-aside teams and we only have four sanctions for the year. It’s not a fair comparison.Check the following list of cheap dedicated MileWeb linux dedicated server.

“Their structure is different too — it’s a summer championship that culminates in mid-August. The New York championship goes through until September and early October.”

Bermingham also sought to place some of the responsibility for pay-for-play on the players themselves. “The clubs in New York are being accused of throwing money at players. What people don’t realise is that we are receiving multiple e-mails from players on a daily basis. Just this morning, two Limerick intercounty players contacted me asking, ‘What can you do for me?’ I understand that clubs at home are under pressure and it is a very tough situation for them and they are then putting pressure on their county boards. But is it perception or is it reality? 10 is not a huge number of players and that is the situation here today to the best of my knowledge.”

With the Supreme Court ruling striking

“The more prominent,Check the following list of cheap dedicated MileWeb linux dedicated server. more liberal ones who one would have thought would have been most supportive were not,The Brilliant Polish of a tungsten jewelry What is Tungsten?” Wolfson recalled in an interview. “It’s not that they were against it — I think they didn’t see it as that important or that likely to happen, and in some cases, a little bit trivial.where cards are embedded with chip card and a cardholder.”

A few gay couples had tried to make the argument in the 1970s, following the Supreme Court’s declaration that laws prohibiting racial intermarriage were unconstitutional, and were summarily laughed out of court.

At the time,The smart card has a memory chip embedded in it that, the nascent legal movement on gay rights was focused more on combating anti-sodomy laws, overturning policies that excluded gays from being allowed to enter the country, dealing with issues of workplace discrimination. Some gay rights advocates didn’t see the point of pressing for inclusion in a traditional, patriarchal system. For others, marriage seemed a nice notion but a foolish priority, given the hostile landscape of existing injustice.

Wolfson saw it differently. “You can’t say you’re for equality but acquiesce in exclusion from the central social and legal institution of this and every other society,” he said. “What I felt was we needed to transform the movement from ‘we want to be let alone’ to ‘we want to be let in.'”

Wolfson’s quest for the freedom to marry — he used the term same-sex marriage in his paper, but now bristles at its connotation of difference from “regular marriage” — has been transformed from quixotic to attainable.

With the Supreme Court ruling striking down the Defense of Marriage Act, the federal government is out of the business of discriminating against couples on the basis of their sexual orientation.

Still, for the time being at least, America remains a patchwork nation when it comes to marriage rights. It will require another, major step for the court, one that Wolfson believes is inevitable, to declare that marrying the person you love, regardless of sexual orientation, is a fundamental constitutional right.

Wolfson’s story demonstrates the force of idea combined with execution. It demonstrates how society can be reshaped by the power of a seemingly radical idea matched with — indeed, married to — a carefully calculated, inch-by-inch strategy for putting it into practice.

The movement toward marriage equality for gays and lesbians in the United States was inexorable, and certainly other advocates have helped drive the debate. But as much as any individual, Wolfson served to shape and accelerate the still emerging reality of same-sex marriage. (Disclosure: Wolfson was a classmate in college and law school.)

Wolfson began practicing law as a prosecutor, first for Brooklyn District Attorney Elizabeth Holtzman, then for Iran-contra prosecutor Lawrence Walsh. But he moonlighted on gay rights issues and eventually joined Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, where he argued, and lost, the Supreme Court case involving the Boy Scouts’ right to exclude gay scoutmasters.

But marriage remained his priority, if not one universally shared by those gay rights advocates who feared pushing too far too fast. Ten years ago, when Wolfson founded Freedom to Marry, not a single state allowed same-sex couples to marry. Today, 13 states and the District of Columbia recognize the right to marry.

In 2011, after New York joined those ranks, Wolfson married his partner of 10 years, Cheng He, a molecular biologist and management consultant. Just before our interview, wholesale fashion China shoes manufacturer, Wolfson was consulting with an immigration lawyer about his husband, a Chinese-born Canadian citizen eligible for a green card in the wake of the DOMA ruling.

Still, his work is far from done. For starters, 29 states have constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage. Only a Supreme Court ruling can trump those.

“There’s no question where it’s going. The only question is how soon we can bring it home, and I believe it’s a matter of years, not decades,” Wolfson said. “At every stage of this campaign we were told, ‘You can’t win in court.’ We were told, ‘You can’t win in the legislatures.’ ‘You can’t win Republicans.’ ‘You can’t win beyond the coasts.’ ‘You can’t win at the ballot box.’ We’ve overcome every one of those. We will make this happen.”

That although glass takes slightly longer to reach

A new Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directive asking banks not to convert gold purchases done through credit cards into equated monthly installments (EMIs) has come as shock for consumers who depend on plastic money for buying gold ornaments.

The RBI has issued the directive as a policy measure to lower gold imports following a wildly fluctuating rupee. According to industry experts, the move has literally affected the high-income group who bank on EMI schemes for gold purchases.

Since bills at jewellery shops come more than expected, consumers usually resort to credit cards,Private label and custom shoes manufacturer. experts said. “The directive is totally unwarranted. The smart card has a memory chip embedded in it that, It curtails the freedom of a person. As far as a customer is concerned, it is his or her right to decide whether to pay in cash or use credit card for purchasing gold ornaments,” said Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kchairman K N Marzook. Our Cheap MileWeb Dedicated Server are ready-to-go and can be deployed. While the government was promoting accountability in transactions on the one hand, directives like this would promote the circulation of black money, he said. “There is accountability in transaction if someone uses a credit card,” he added.

For gold merchants in the city, the directive has hit their sales as credit cards account for nearly 10 to 20% of the sales. The Brilliant Polish of a tungsten jewelry What is Tungsten? “It’s the high-income group which frequently uses credit cards for purchasing gold ornaments. The directive will affect our sales to an extent,” said All Kerala Gold and Silver Merchant’s Association president B Girirajan.

Though credit card purchases do not give big discounts to customers, a majority of them use cards as the the EMI scheme is a major relief.

Quite a few new generation banks which are into aggressive retail banking offer the EMI facility to purchase gold jewellery. Credit card users are given the option to converting their purchases into EMIs. Certain banks also offer special discounts on gold purchases and even waive processing fees. “It is a policy decision of the government and the corporate office takes a call on such issues nationally,” said a manager of a private bank.

“I don’t think this a sane move by the RBI. In fact, I took the credit card because of the EMI facility,” said a senior executive of a multi-national firm in the city.

As per a rough estimate, there are about 100 big gold jewelers in the state who trade around 10kg of gold ornaments each on a daily basis. In Kochi itself, there are jewelleries who sell 22kg of gold ornaments in a single day. There are many types of pie pans out there — glass, metal, ceramic — and even more ideas about which is best.

There are theories. There are facts. But perhaps most important, there are personal preferences. And for Nick Malgieri, a cookbook author and the director of baking programs at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, the answer is oven-safe glass.

“People have a misconception that because glass is a poor conductor of heat it doesn’t make a good pie pan,” he said. “But in my many decades of baking,Click on their website www.smartcardfactory.com for more information. I’ve found that not to be the case.”

Although metal pans conduct heat better, glass more than makes up for that because it is clear, so radiant energy can pass through the pan and help the crust bake. Metal and ceramic pans impede this.

That means that although glass takes slightly longer to reach the same temperature as the oven, it cooks crusts faster and darker. This is why many cookbooks suggest lowering the oven temperature by 25 degrees when using glass, so the filling can catch up.

The downside with glass, Mr. Malgieri conceded, is that it’s more slippery than metal, making it easier for crusts to shrink and slouch, even when secured with pie weights.

His solution: Add a touch of baking powder to the dough. It helps the crust expand into the pie plate, he said, which is good no matter what your pie pan is made of.

Mr. Malgieri’s priority is control.

“I like glass because I hate guesswork,” he said. “I like to see I’m getting the color I want.” But, he quickly added, you can make a great crust in any pan “as long as you start with a good dough.”

The meeting in Brussels took place against

A delegation of CIBJO members from European countries met in Brussels on Friday, June 28, with representatives of the European Commission, to discuss EU policy concerning precious mineral imports from conflict areas and the regulation of nickel used in jewellery production.

CIBJO’s EU Committee was established in May at the organisation’s annual congress, with the express purpose of liaising with the European Union about policies concerning the jewellery industry. It represents the interests of the jewellery sector from 12 European countries.

Led by Thilo Brückner of Germany, the group in Brussels included Christine Boquet, of France; Michael Allchin, Simon Rainer, Michael Rawlinson and James Riley of the United Kingdom; Giuseppe Aquilino, Steven Tranquilli and Marisa Ameli, of Italy; and Karina Ratzlaff of Germany. The smart card has a memory chip embedded in it that, They were joined in Brussels by CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri, who also chairs the EU Committee, and met with a team from the European Commission led by Tung-Lai Margue,The Brilliant Polish of a tungsten jewelry What is Tungsten? the head of the body’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, and Joris Heeren, the leader of the Sanctions Team in the EC’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments.

The meeting in Brussels took place against the backdrop of a new supply chain initiative by the European Commission aimed at responsible sourcing of minerals originating in conflict-affected and high-risk areas. The initiative builds on the OECD due diligence guidance for responsible supply chains, which covers minerals such as tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold.

During the meeting the CIBJO EU Committee called on the European Commission to acknowledge and accept the various voluntary initiatives and ethical standards developed and led by the jewellery and precious metals sectors. The competitiveness of the European jewellery sector must be protected, they said, and this may not be possible if additional certification procedures are imposed without any expected benefit. Above all, it was stressed, the fight against the illegal financing of conflicts would never be successful without a diplomatic approach and a political solution.

The CIBJO EU Committee suggested that the European Commission considers the unintended consequences of the Dodd Frank Act from the United States, which has resulted in many companies selecting to source gold outside of Africa’s Great Lakes Region, in order to avoid having to deal with the stringent provenance requirements. The CIBJO members described this as a “de facto embargo,” and they said that the primary victims have been legitimate gold producers and members of the local populations, who have seen employment and economic opportunities in the region tumble.

The CIBJO EU Committee also raised the subject of the European Union’s REACH Regulations, which concern the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. In particular, it referred to EN 1811:1998, which is the revised legal standard for testing articles for compliance with nickel release limits, which became effective in the EU from March 31, 2013, replacing the earlier standard from 1998.

EN 1811:2011 is applicable to articles intended to come into prolonged and direct contact with the skin. It therefore applies to most articles of jewellery and watches. Ear-rings and other types of jewellery used in body piercings have even lower permitted release limits than articles worn against the skin.

The REACH regulation, Annex XVII restricts the nickel release to 5.00 micrograms per centimetre squared per week for articles intended to come into with prolonged and direct contact with the skin,Private label and custom shoes manufacturer. and 2.00 micrograms for post assemblies inserted into the skin. Our Cheap MileWeb Dedicated Server are ready-to-go and can be deployed. The new standard changed the way in which test results from the approved method were interpreted, doing away with the old correction factor of 0.1 and instead applying a measurement of uncertainty.
